Band During Covid LearningOUR COMMITMENT This page is to help parents, students, and our community have a centralized place to recieve all updated information on how band and band learning activities will be delivered during the 2020-21 school year under covid learning plans and phases. Use the links and infromation provided below to get upto date information on our reccomendations and planning. Our goal is to have our students participate in music making and learning activites while following all procedures and regulations to promote the safest learning environment. Our students and staff are our most important resource in everything we do and all policies and procedures will be implemented and created to keep thier health and safety a priority at all times. Students Learning Phases Statement for the West Wilkes BAnd Program Wilkes County Schools is allowing students to choose different plans of instruction for the 2020-21 school year. As of 7/21/2020 Wilkes County is providing Plan B & C as a choice: Our band program will support whichever plan a student chooses. WILKES COUNTY SCHOOLS PLAN INFORMATION. We are in the process of developing our curriculum for 2020-21 to accomodate each plan. We will update this page fequently as we build our Plan B & C Curriculums. Our commitment is that depending on changing phases from the state and school board we will build flexibility and adaptability into our curriculm to accomodate music instruction at home or at school. Our priority will be to create a students centered learning environment for active particpation in our instrumental music classes. Marching Band and Plan C As of 7/21/2020 all students who select Plan C - Remote Learning CAN participate in all after school band activities AND in Band Camp.
